For years, guitarists have been asking us to make a stop-tail version of our top-selling Sidejack DLX guitar. We loved the concept, and thought it was the next logical step for the ever-growing Sidejack family of instruments... but why stop at just one new model?

Introducing the Sidejack Standard, available in four exclusive configurations: Standard, HB, HB-1, and this one, the HB-P.

The Sidejack Standard HB-P is perhaps the most unique of the Standard Sidejacks, featuring the best of both worlds: a sparkly-clean Vintage EW-P90 in the neck position, and a melt-your-face-off Custom Humbucker at the bridge. Combine the two, and you're left with an endlessly vast power-twang like you've never heard!

Customer Experiences

First off, this is a beautiful guitar. The workmanship is excellent. The neck, fretboard and binding are flawless as are set up and action. The polished fingerboard and perfect, bound frets are outstanding and right up there with what you would expect from a way more expensive guitar. I own 19 guitars, most of which are Gibson including 4 Custom Shop models. I play professionally and have for more years than I will admit. It’s not really fair to compare a $600 guitar to a Custom Shop Gibson. For the money, this guitar is wonderful. The P90 has a nice round tone. The humbucker is a bit brighter and not quite as thick sounding as my Les Pauls but I think it pairs well with the P90. The wiring might be considered a weak link. The pickup wires are extremely thin and as far as I could see, there are no caps or any other electronic components under the hood. I might consider upgrading the pickups and electronics in the future. My overall impression is, this is a really well built, exceptional instrument for the money. Buy it!

A solid red beast. The photo doesn't do justice to the red wood grain finish. Love the humbucker/P90 combination. A great addition to wide selection of left handed guitars. Keep 'em comin'!
